3 ways to use the Corona break wisely

My last post might have sounded a bit callous toward the fate of those who have been affected by the virus. True, compared to being actually infected with it, staying at home with a lot of free time on one’s hand sounds like a cakewalk. And it probably is.

And here are a few pointers that will help you utilize the time wisely instead of waking up a month later to ask yourself, ‘Did I really binge-watch so many shows? Where did the time go?’:

1. Revisit a hobby or passion you put on the back burner because of, well, living in LA. If you had started writing a book but abandoned it half-way, open that Word file again. Maybe you’ll have some new ideas you can use now.

2. Learn a skill. In these days, when online learning platforms like Udemy are offering every kind of training under the sun with a printable certificate to celebrate completion of a course, there is no excuse not to learn. And most of this is free and available to anyone with an Internet connection.

3. And don’t forget to get that long-overdue rest. Life is tough and we all need to recharge our physical and emotional batteries from time to time. If you have friends and/or family near you, all the better.

Stay safe.
